OUT on Sundays is a LGBTQI+ walking group for city-based people of all abilities who can benefit from the social aspect. The first Sunday of the month we host a ‘chum me’ walk aimed for all but specifically for those living with depression, anxiety or feeling lonely and just looking for a friend. This takes place in a Glasgow public park with an option for lunch afterwards where people buy themselves something to eat while maintaining their new friendships.
The second Sunday is a ‘Bill walk’ where Out on Sundays host Bill Gardiner leads on a walk which can be varied in length.
Third Sunday is a ‘History walk’ where Out on Sunday host Tommy Clarke picks a theme and delivers a history tour. Again this can be varied in length or content
Other weeks in the month is what we call surprise weeks and we tend to repeat a previous walk - perhaps redo a walk that was popular or one that people missed.
We have our past walks as events in our Facebook page which can be viewed to get an idea of what we have done before and what is coming up.
